My Story
I'm Justin Ross.
I’ve been a builder all my life and I want to bring that drive and mentality to small businesses to help them succeed.
I started my career with a degree in Management Information Systems and worked in tech for two years. When I was offered a promotion, I turned it down to help grow my family’s insurance business. I chose the uncertainty of entrepreneurship over the structure of a corporate track.
While working full-time, I studied for my 2-20 license from a book and started from the ground up as a producer in my father’s Allstate agency. Even though it was a family business, I asked him to treat me like any other employee. I wanted my success to be earned, and it was. I was held to the same standards as everyone else. Over time, I earned my way into a partnership, where I led a high-performing team, developed multi-channel marketing strategies, and helped oversee two acquisitions that expanded the book and operational scale.
Eventually, I stepped out on my own to build something from scratch. I thought I could apply the same strategies but quickly realized the growth model was completely different. The first six months were tough. I remember telling my wife I wasn’t sure I would make it. I doubled down, knocked on doors, built spreadsheets, mapped territories, and optimized routes to make the most of every day.
The turning point came when I walked into a RE/Max office and met a team whose insurance partner of 20 years had just retired. That relationship, along with one other key referral source, became the foundation of a thriving agency I ran for the next decade.
The business was built almost entirely through referrals, trust, and consistent follow-through. During my tenure, I earned a 4.9-star rating across more than 480 public reviews, each one reflecting how seriously I took every client relationship. Looking back, the throughline of my career has been reinvention and growth. Not growth for the sake of it, but in service of doing meaningful work, solving real problems, and showing up more fully over time.
